She thought she had over-come them but when the plane crashes they will come back. Special Skills: I haven’t thought about “special skills” that could be useful on the island, they could come as time go on, I have thought that she’d be pretty good at golfing and she could be a surprise if asked to catch a fish. Having a father and a brother that are doctors, her medical skills can come in handy, she was bound to become a doctor but rebelled against her father’s wishes. Weaknesses: Weaknesses are stated in her Personality HISTORY Jordan Shephard was born on 30 April 1985 to her mother, Claudia, who was a nurse. There was no father stated on her birth certificate. Jordan’s childhood was a pretty simple one; she lived with her mother and uncle in a small country town. She excelled in most of her school subjects but one of her main passions was dancing. She started dancing when she was three and had always wanted to be on the spotlight. When it was her 21st birthday a letter arrived addressed for her and her eyes only. When she opened it her whole world changed. It was a letter from her father. The father she never knew had existed. In the letter he told her that he was a Doctor and met her mother while on a business trip to Sydney a year before she was born. In the letter Dr Christian Shephard explained he would be in Australia again and hoped to meet his “only daughter”, he had been longing to see. Not knowing of the real situation she confronted her mother but Claudia straight out told her daughter not to go near the man who is calling himself her father “He is bad news” She would always tell Jordan. For most of her life she had felt like an outsider, she only felt like she belonged when she was on stage, dancing. Most of her dance friends had a close bond with their fathers and would always talk about the different places around the world they would go together. Almost one year later when it was a special performance show for Jordan, she received flowers and a note. Her father was in the audience and couldn’t wait to meet her. Jordan’s mother had always been called out to emergencies; that she would miss half of her daughter’s performances- not on purpose of course. So a thrill went off inside of Jordan to finally have a family member there in the audience watching her. She could not wait to meet her father. And she did. They had dinner that night, unbeknown to her mother and Christian told her his side of the story, why he couldn’t stay with her mother. Christian also told Jordan that he has a son. She had a half-brother in the U.S, who was also a doctor. This got Jordan excited, especially learning that he was older. For as long as she could remember, Jordan had always wanted an older sibling- she finally had one. As their night came to an end, Christian promised his daughter that he would stay in contact- he never did. As the news sunk in Jordan become more and more anxious to meet her half-brother. To her, he sounded perfect. She finally got the courage to tell her mother that she was going to the US and meet him. “No way in hell” was her mother’s exact words. Claudia knew damn straight that her daughter should not have anything to do with the Shephard family as they were bad news. No matter how much Jordan had wanted another sibling- Claudia knew that all along. She barred her daughter from getting a passport. When her mother refused to let her go, Jordan had had enough; she was sick of the secrets and sick of her mother not liking the idea of Jordan having a brother. The arguments continued well into the night, one night and Jordan walked out. She didn’t care, screw it, she thought. She ended up in the local bar to drown her sorrows...
